Understated Presets is the brain child of me (hi, I’m Amanda and the one in the photo!) and my spouse, David (a graphic design wizard not pictured).
After being a wedding photographer for 5 years and professional editor and retoucher for 10, the pressure of perfection was getting to me. I found myself not at all interested in this job of mine that used to light me up everyday.
The thing that helped me out of my funk was getting creative just for the fun of it. Playing in Lightroom and Photoshop has always been my happy place and I found different ways to use Lightroom that I hadn't considered before. Making digital photos look like old film, or being able to enhance a photograph while still staying true to life filled me with excitement.
I want these presets to speak to your aesthetic loving self and help you find your creative spark again whether you are streamlining your workflow so you have the time to be creative for yourself or emulating film with your digitals!
